Edit - Poll about "Sex With My Buddies" posts

Hi guys,

Sorry if you already voted (x2 Twenties, x1 Stop them, x2 Cont. with details), but I added another option...please either re-vote if you wish to remain anonymous, or comment that you had already voted (leave details).

Many thanks,
Col

This is my first poll and it's not what I envisaged my first one would be about, but it is (to me at least) necessary if I'm to/not to continue with the "Sex With My Buddies" posts.

Of course I want to attract new readers, who doesn't, but I don't want to do that at the expense of losing my regular readers.

One of the readers commented that my post was too explicit for them so they did not finish reading it. I thank him for his honesty, and, for telling me so too. I respect everybody's opinion so I read the post again, and I thought...actually, did I really need to go into so much detail? Surely, just saying that we sucked each other off in some bushes would have been adequate!
It would've been a shorter post, that's for sure lol.

Then I thought...well maybe it wasn't too graphic really, because I was trying to put across my first sexual experience with another person. We were twelve years old and experimenting with sex for the first time in our lives. I was trying to show our inexperience in the things I wrote, but it was a truthful account of what happened and what I was thinking...as I remember it, nothing more. Peter and I fumbled our way through that evening, and a few more too until we'd gained some knowledge of each others likes and dislikes, desires etc.

So, as I don't know whether to carry on with these posts or not, I've decided to leave it up to my readers to decide the outcome, by way of a poll...see sidebar (2 Polls).

Do I stop?
Do I continue...with graphic descriptions?
Do I continue...without graphic descriptions?
Do I continue...in my own sweet way?

I'd also like to know the age of voters too, so please vote on both polls. Of course you can always vote and comment.

Thanks to all those who left comments on the last post, and as always I have left my comment to each of you.

Lines are now open so please...

I hope you've had a great weekend...and finished all your shopping lol.

Take care,

  1. As i see it, it's your blog and it ought to please you. If it also pleases others they will continue to read and maybe offer comments and contributions along the way. Doesn't mean they have to agree with everything you say, or even always like what you say.

By the same token you shouldn't have to feel that you must please everybody all the time, or constantly apologise for yourself.

Feedback is great, but there is a danger that your 'sex buddy' poll forces you to stop writing what you want, or encourages you to write only what 'we' want you to. Why not consider a fourth option that says 'continue, but in my own sweet way'.

It's your canvas - paint it as you please.

    Hope that was helpful?

  2. Thanks Skweeks, that was some great advice and was very helpful. I don't expect people to agree with/like everything I say, if I was like that then I wouldn't be blogging lol. But, I was worried about that post anyway...because of the graphic content. So, if you already voted...sorry, but could you do it again?

    Many thanks,
    Col

  3. Skweek is totally correct. You don't have to apologize for your posts or feel you need to tailor your content, topics, or ideas to anyone.

That being said, for those who are more "sensitive" to those sorts of things, I think a nice clear disclaimer at the beginning of the post should suffice. Sort of like "read at your own risk" or something. I remember I had a rather graphic post several months ago (bloody graphic, not sexually graphic, but same difference) and I made sure to put a warning first.

I think your honesty is refreshing, and I think I said already that I respect you for being able to share these kinds of things with us.

Besides, there are MUCH more graphic blogs out there LOL.

    :)

  4. My feeling is that the graphic details are unimportant to the overall story. If you tell us that you hugged, kissed, spooned, had oral sex, had anal sex, that's all we really need in order to understand the situation. How you felt at the time and afterwards, what the other person was like, some dialogue, etc. are also good to have.

Of course, it's your blog and you can write what you want. But I don't think we really need the how to (or how not to) manual.

  5. I didn't mean to offend or stop you from writing anything. You can write about whatever you want. The reader can decide whether or not to read it. Or the reader can decide how much they want to read. You can never please everybody. I commented simply because you put the effort in making the post and I wanted you to know that I at least tried to read it. You deserve to know that people are reading it. :)

BTW, you asked me elaborate on what i found odd. I just find it odd how stuff like that happens. Two guys and it seems like such a spontaneous and random event. I can't say that I relate to the event in anyway so maybe I just don't understand.

  6. Hi I just found your blog and I like it, I liked the sexy stuff too so I voted for Yes with the details lol! It is true theres a lot of porn blogs around, but most of them are not worth reading because its JUST porn, JUST about sex, and not about the people and the feelings that go with sex. The way you write about your friend is different. I wont lie and say it wasnt sexy but it was also thoughtful and sweet and thats why I liked it.
I also liked your blog about your teacher. I have a teacher like that but Im about 99% sure he's staight and even if he isn't he probly wouldn't mess with me but theres nothing wrong with the fantasy lol.
